Your handwriting is specific to you. The forms, pressure, spacing and movement of your script is as individual to you as your fingerprints. Handwriting can actually be consider “brain writing” because it is the neurological impulses that determine the individuality of the script.
Your writing identifies your potential, resistance, temperament, weaknesses, compatibility and vocational aspirations.
Handwriting analysis is used for behavioral assessment, jury screening, investigation profiling, vocational guidance, compatibility, self knowledge, and insight through misleading surface impressions.

There is no comparison to handwriting analysis and these studies. The findings of handwriting are based on documented empirical research. Since 1981 graphology (handwriting analysis) has been categorized amongst the other credible social sciences, by the Library of Congress.
There are many approaches to handwriting analysis, and basically if you are good at what you do, you end up with a similar assessment than do the other methods. There is gestalt, trait stroke, and individualized form methods such as the psychogram and Wittlich and Moretti methods, and eclectic approaches.
Graphology is a blend of both worlds. Writing can be specifically measured and assessed, but it is also an intuitive process. Spacing and movement have been scientifically researched and are able to be specifically analyzed to personality aspects.
Yes. Writing muscles become mature around the age of eighteen, making the writing forms more stable. As the character of the writer changes, so does the writing. Stress, illness, medication, drugs and age can also impact writing. These aspects, however, are mostly superficial. The basic structure of the writing remains.
Printing, print-script and non-English writing are easily analyzed – by the capable analyst. There are basic tenets in graphology, which include rhythm, movement, form, spacing and symmetry. These aspects show up universally in writing.
There are certification processes by various groups. Typically, they are reasonably strenuous tests, over-viewed by a number of knowledgeable analysts. To date, there is no licensing.
Handwriting analysis falls under the category of public behavior, according to the EEOC. Because it does not expose age, sex, religion, handicaps, or race, it is a non-bias hiring tool. It does define behavior and aptitude ofr any particular job.
Correspondence schools are numerous, as are individual teachers.
There are various venues. Handwriting Associations, the phone book yellow pages, the internet. The most important thing to evaluate to Graphological Certification by established organizations.
Bio
In 1977, Linda began studying graphology with Dorothy Hodos, one of the founders of the American Handwriting Analysis Foundation (AHAF). It was from Dorothy than she learned the fundamentals of handwriting theory, and took the Psychogram and Criteria course work.
She then went on to study with Dr. Erika Karohs, learning a variety of methods of analysis. Linda also received degrees in Psychology and Marriage and Family during this time, sponsored by Dr. Karohs.
Linda was certified by the American Handwriting Analysis Foundation, in 1984, and became a life time member of the organization. in 1986 she passed her Professional Certification with the American Association of Hand-writing Analysts (AAHA). She received a Life Time Teaching Credential; a Continuing Education Certification from the Association of Licensed Investigators; certification in Scientific Content Analysis Interrogation and was also Court Qualified in California in Document Examination.
Over the nearly 35 years Linda has been a graphologist, she has worked closely with police and sherrif departments on investigations; private investigators, screened potential employees for privately owned companies; screened candidates for jury selection, and given lectures all over the US.
Linda has written two monographs: "Suicide and Self-Destructive Behavior in Children and Teens", and "A Graphological View of eating Disorders - A Working Paper".
She has been featured in many articles for media publications; appeared on television and radio; worked at Trade Shows and spoken before Navy personnel and Development. She also teaches classes in Graphology.
Linda's philosophy about graphology is: "Read everything you can, take every course you can, and share what you learn with other handwriting analysts."
Linda has been the National Ethics Chair of AHAF, The National Vice President of AHAF, the Chapter president of the Northern Ca Chapter of AHAF.
